Big images slow websites, hit email limits, and waste storage — yet you rarely need full camera resolution. Here's the right way to shrink them.
Resize first
The biggest win is resizing. A 4000px-wide photo is wasted where it shows at 800px. Use the Image Resizer, then compress — together they can cut size by 90%+.
Pick the format
JPG for photos, PNG for transparency/sharp edges, WebP for the smallest web files.
Steps
- Open Image Compressor.
- Drop in one or many images.
- Choose "Recommended".
- Download (or get them all as a ZIP).
Targets
Email: under 1–2 MB. Web photos: 100–300 KB. Always check the result at full size.
